Is the war in heaven story, really just about astrology?
The entire story around Jesus is very astrological. A lot of the bible is based off of early astrology and previous religions in different cultures. Look at it this way: Mary is the virgin, aka, Virgo the Virgin. The son [sun] is born of the virgin [Virgo] on the twenty fifth [that time period’s winter solstice where Virgo is in a certain proximity to the sun from our view] and is followed by three kings [three stars in another constellation often referred to as “The three kings” for their brightness and size which all point toward the sun at the time of the winter solstice]. That’s only the quick summarry. There’s plenty on this story and other biblical falsehoods as well.
Bible stories have many layers of meanings. There is the physical, the allegorical, the euphemistical, spiritual, and so on. You may be on the right track that some stories refer to astronomy, but it may not be regarding the order of the planets. There are bigger heavenly bodies, especially Mars, Saturn, and Jupiter, to consider. Also consider that they didn’t have the astronomy we have today, but astrology. Just looking at ancient Egyptian astrology shows that they looked at the planets from an earth-centered point of view, not the one you’re suggesting. Yes it is possible that religious stories were borrowed from sciences that are more ancient than history has evidence for. I think that they used the solar system to illustrate their beliefs, not their beliefs coming from the solar system. They used what they had around to show similarities. Study up on correlation versus causation before you come to any conclusion.
First off when God originally chose Abraham he & his father worshipped the moon god. So only Abraham’s first born by his wife worshipped the God that called Abraham. Adam’s children knew to worship God & even offered tithes. Since all mankind came from him is it really that far of a stretch to believe all had similar stories of God from their religion? I believe many things in the Bible & the Lord refer to a sci-fi type of understanding. But it is worded in ways common man can understand. If you really listen to science programs like “The Universe” it sounds like a sci-fi version of what the Bible says. The Bible says that all of creation is designed to speak of God so that no man can claim ignorance. 3 in 1- ABC’s-123s-air,water,earth-body,soul,spi… The sun gives light. Jesus is the light of the world. Everything in your body says that absent disease or illness your body should live forever. Yet it doesn’t. Why, if the Bible is a lie??? We are made in His image, but He must be an alie
