Is the WA Occupational Safety and Health Act 1984 under review?

0

A review of WA’s Occupational Safety and Health Act 1984 is undertaken each 5 years and while a review is due to be undertaken, that process has not formed part of the development of the harmonised occupational health and safety laws. The development of the model WHS Bill is a separate process which is designed to prepare a model set of laws of occupational health and safety with the intention that they will then be adopted into each jurisdiction in Australia. At the point in time that WA adopts the model WHS Bill provisions the current WA Occupational Safety and Health Act 1984 will no longer exist.
