YES, as long as the computer has a USB port and USB drivers. Windows 98SE users may need to download updated drivers from the Microsoft website. Meganet designed the device to be completely standalone so that it can be used on all Windows, Macintosh, and Linux systems. but does not require installation. Unlike some earlier models of VME BioDrive, the VME BioDrive XD allows you to use it on any PC without having to install or run software each time you use it. (Note however, that the 256-bit AES Encryption Utility which comes bundled with the device does run under Windows but does not require installation.
