Is the violin or guitar easy to learn to play?
Guitar is much much easier, you can learn more quickly and it’s more forgiving if you make mistakes. Violin takes years and years of practice before you can get a decent sound and play a reasonable complicated piece. But it’s worth it. As for fun, it’s a matter of opinion. Guitar is good for mucking around on, you can jam with friends and bring it out at parties and that kind of thing, and you could even form a band, which would be awesome. But violin means you can join an orchestra (easier than forming a band) and be part of this amazing family and go on tour and stuff which is just amazing. People look up to violin a lot more as well, you know, because anyone can strum a bit on a guitar, but to be good at violin takes talent and dedication. However, guitar is much cheaper and you can teach yourself to some extent. You can’t teach yourself violin, lessons are expensive. It’s up to you really. Think about how much time you have, how much money you have, and how determined you are. Good
