Is the Village going to check for leaks when they install the meter?
Troupe Water Service technicians will check for leaks around the meter after it is installed but they will not check for or repair leaks throughout the home or building. If you notice a leak within five feet of the meter, call Department of Public Works Superintendent Robert Martin at 891-4150 Ext. 236 during normal business hours or the Village of Saranac Lake Police Department at 891-4422 after hours. All other leaks, including dripping faucets or running toilets, are the responsibility of the property owner to repair.
