Is the vibe at Spearhead concerts a lot different since Obama got elected?
I think definitely, people are in a celebration mood. It’s kind of like the wicked witch is dead. But I also think that people are still feeling really driven, like, “Man, we can’t stop now.” That’s really what my message has been to people: don’t just sit back and say, “I’m gonna hold Barack accountable to his promises.” Get out there and help him make his promises a reality. When you’re working with producers like Sly and Robbie, two guys who are practically living legends, do you pretty much just do whatever they tell you to do? Pretty much.
