Is the vampire romance market too crowded?
There are a lot on the market but most of them are just rubbish…and i should know as i read loads of books. If your story has a good solid storyline, plenty of action with some decent sex scenes then I don’t see why it wouldn’t be published. If people are buying the genre then publishers are going to carry on publishing them, they’ll only start cutting down when buyers stop. I enjoy the stories most that have the romance as an added bonus rather than the be all and end all. Loads of action for me and i prefer those that are part of a series or the comic ones.
