A Not for fiscal year 2001-02. The legislation states that “effective July 1, 2002, within proviso in the General Appropriations Act and law, each board of trustess shall set university tuition and fees.” However, the sum of the activity and service, health and athletic fees shall not exceed 40 percent of the matriculation fee established in law or the General Appropriatons Act. Also, universities may not increase the aggregate sum of those fees more than 5 percent per year, unless specifically authorized in law or the General Appropriations Act.
