The diagnostic method is sensitive (94%) and specific (98%) compared to a conventional EMG test performed by a clinical neurophysiologist. These figures were verified by an extensive Finnish multicentre test (196 patients) in 2003-2005. In February 2006 a similar study was conducted with 63 patients at Leicester hospital in England with similar results.
