Is the use of ceramics as insulation a new concept?
The use of ceramics as an insulator goes back as far as man. The employment of ceramic bottles to keep water cool has been traced back to the beginning of civilization. The use of ceramic roofs to waterproof and insulate can be traced back almost as far. The use of ceramic roofs spread throughout the world. There are many ceramic roofs that are hundreds of years old and are still as effective as the day they were built. Hence, the use of ceramics as insulation is not a new concept.
