Is the University of Miami a good school?
It depends on what your major is if a school is good for you or not. Every school has their strong programs and weak ones. For example, you wouldn’t go to Harvard to get an engineering degree and you wouldn’t go to MIT to get a law or business degree even though both school are highly ranked. Miami is a top school when it comes to their medical and biology programs while their engineering programs are nothing to shout about. It is a well respected private university. Of course, the best school for you is the one that meets your goals and personality. For example, I go to the University of Florida, top ranked school in Florida and highly ranked in the Nation. I have see dozens of bright freshmen that graduated tops in their classes in high school but when they came to UF they could not adjust to the environment and size of UF since UF is the second largest university in the Nation when it comes to the number of student on one campus.
