Is the University of Edinburgh difficult to get into?

It’s not much harder than many other of the top 30 or so universities. When I applied to University, I got six offers (including offers from Glasgow, Warwick, Stirling, Kent, and Birmingham) and no interviews even though I was not a straight A student (I was predicted ABB at A-Level). I also went to do French (and Film& Media Studies, which was very hard to get into as such a popular subject at good universities). My friend who was a straight A student got 4 offers and 2 of those had interviews attached. I think the reason why is because I not only showed my commitment to my subjects in the wider sense (going on independent exchanges to France to improve my French, for example) but also showed I had other interests. I think the fact that you rock-climb is great and you should make the most of this and your commitment to your language (going to the language school) in your UCAS statement (which is what I did). You have just as much chance as the next person at getting in in terms of you
