Is the United Way at work year round?
Although the United Way is most visible in the community during the fall fund-raising campaign, it is actually at work all year round receiving requests for admission from new agencies, evaluating affiliated agencies and maintaining a liaison with them, recruiting and training volunteers for the many jobs that must be done, making allocation decisions, keeping itself and its agencies informed about government actions and trends related to human services, keeping in touch with public opinion, and communication with the public.
