Is the united states in for an economic slump?
As FreakBoy said, where the heck have you been? OR, it may be something else… Maybe your folks have been living well and budgeting correctly and surviving just fine, but now something’s happened. Maybe because they go to work, you percieve them as “working class”… Hello!! If you don’t know about the “economic slump”, chances are that daddy ain’t a gas jockey and mommy ain’t a receptionist. Job loss, cutbacks at the workplace that make them fearful, whatever… now YOUR life has just been impacted… reduction in allowance, credit card limits, limited driving time (gas hovering around $3.50 average… ok, so now it’s impacted your life and you’re sitting up and taking notice. Yep, we’ve been in a ‘slump’ for a long time. You’ve just been sheltered from it until now. Since you haven’t noticed the ‘slight slump’, I’m assuming you’re a teen and now it is starting to affect you. Believe me, it’s affecting your folks a whole lot more than you… remember, they’re sheltering you!!! Don’t
