Yes. Troutdale airport is a tower-controlled airport – Class D, students will learn to communicate with ATC from the first flight. Being located within the Class C airspace of Portland International Airport students learn the proper way to communicate and transition the airspace. Students will also go on cross-country flights to Seattle where they will practice flying in Class B airspace.
