Yes. The University of Kentucky Graduate School requires international students to take the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) and have a minimum score of 550 paper based, 213 computer based or 79 internet based. Original scores must be sent to the Graduate School from the testing institution.

Yes, the TOEFL, MELAB, or IELTS is required for international applicants from countries where English is not the native language. Students studying in the US for two years or more are exempted from this requirement.

Yes, the minimum required score is 523 on the written test, 193 on the computer test, and 70 on the internet based test. Students not meeting this requirement are offered the option to attend our English Language Institute.
