Is the tippmann 98 Flatline barrel good?

Yes- the Flatline adds range (not really 100 ft like the guy above said) -about 250 ft or so is the maximum effective range for a Flatline vs. 200 or less for a good normal barrel with an arced shot. It also is not more accurate, in fact you sacrifice accuracy for range. That said, it is a great barrel certainly worth the investment, and accurate enough. The Flatline barrel puts backspin on the ball, which gives it additional lift, thus letting the ball fly farther before gravity takes its toll. This spin will even let you “curve” balls, just like an Apex barrel, if you hold the marker sideways, which is pretty cool, too. However, as I said above, the spin on the ball does make it fly farther, but not as accurately. In my book the additional range more than makes up for that- I’d rather try to plunk a guy with 4 or 5 shots at 225 feet than at 190 feet with 2 or 3 where he can return fire on me easily. BTW, you want a smaller paintball for a Flatline- unlike most barrels where you want
