Is the tbone aviationTM headset an active noise reduction headset?
The tbone aviationTM headset is not an active noise reduction headset it is purely passive. It consists of two custom molded hearing protections where the noise cancellation in the speaking frequencies (up to app. 1.5 KHz) is destroyed. At low frequencies the cancellation is app. 5-8 dB and in the high frequencies (above 6 KHz) the cancellation is 30 dB or more. The tbone aviationTM headset does not eliminate the sounds, it only reduce the volume to a safe and comfortable level.
