Is the students local education agency responsible for sharing the cost of the students education at TSD?

0

For students admitted to TSD on the referral of an LEA or the parent/student, the local education agency is responsible for sharing the cost of the student’s education. The local education agency will provide information to the Commissioner of Education to determine this amount and the amount will be deducted from the total amount of the LEA’s foundation school funds before the balance is sent to the LEA. If the LEA does not receive school foundation funds, the Commissioner will request the LEA to send the payment of the LEA’s share to the Commissioner.
