Is the Stratosphere a good place to stay?
The Stratosphere Hotel and Casino is a nice place to stay but there are drawbacks. If you do not have a car it is very inconvenient and taxis will add a lot to the cost of your visit. That is why I do not recommend it to people who do not have cars. The first time I stayed there I had no rental car. By the second night, I went and rented one. The taxi rides are more expensive than the rates may suggest. For instance they charge a huge rate just for sitting still. Taking a trip down the busy Strip can cause your taxi bill to inflate remarkably. Now I always rent a car. I leaned how to get around on the back streets and can get easily around to anywhere at any time. In my opinion, money is important but time is more so. If you stay in a hotel to save money but end up wasting huge amounts of time waiting for buses or walking huge distances you are not getting your money’s worth.
