Is the SQL engine going to interpret Btrieve calls or is it necessary to continue running the Btrieve.nlm?

No, the SQL engine takes relational calls and the Btrieve module takes Btrieve calls and supports Btrieve applications just like it has for almost two decades. We split the Btrieve NLM into two peices: the MKDE (MicroKernel Database Engine – nwmkde.nlm) which does most of the dirty work for both the Btrieve NLM and the SQL engine which we call the SRDE. Q: I do not run the Microkernel NLM today. Will the 6.15 Btrieve NLM interface with the new microkernel engine or will the 7.x version of Btrieve have to be loaded to continue accessing the current Btrieve files? A: The 7.x version of the Btrieve NLM replaces the 6.15 and provides complete support for all Btrieve apps and Btrieve data files.
