Is the Speech and Language Therapists assessment broad based, co-ordinated and integrated?
• Assessment takes into account all aspects of communication and social functioning, not just speech and language. • The assessment is part of a co-ordinated multi-disciplinary assessment which considers how aspects of the assessment relate to and influence one another. • SLTs use assessment tools that are sensitive enough to identify and address the needs of children with Asperger’s syndrome.
