Is the “South” as in from the civil war still not surrendered or do people still believe?
There are no people in the South who believe the South has never surrendered. The only people that believe this OF the South are people who aren’t a part of it, but are prejudicial toward Southern people or their memory for some overly generalized reason. There will always be people who only look at surface images, gobble them up, and move on with their kodachrome lives… hungry for sound bites. But fortunately, there will also always be people who actually learn the real story – the history – and that leads to truth, not prejudicial assumptions. The questions AND answers I see repeatedly on this subject are so incoherent and surprisingly ignorant generalizations – which is even more ironic when you examine what they are accusing Southern people of… the pot calling the kettle black. And not even seeing it in practice… For what it’s worth, here are some examples to consider: Examine the legitimacy of the way people want to make Lincoln some sort of Moses figure – when in fact he wa
