No, such a solo is probably not possible on a real pan flute. Bert van den Brink played it on a keyboard, with a General Midi sound number 76 from a 15 year old Roland Sound Canvas module. He liked to have fun with the pitch bend and modulation wheel. The sound was chosen to compensate for the ‘shiny’ sound of the Fender Rhodes, the Synth bass and the MiniMoog.
