Is the Smart Alec waterproof?
The Smart Alec is made with fabrics treated to be water-resistant and features “splash-proof” zipper closures, but it is not completely waterproof. In other words, it will protect your gear in heavy rain but you wouldn’t want to throw it in the drink. Beware of manufacturers who claim their gear is “waterproof.” Unless the gear is RF welded instead of sewn, it’s not truly waterproof.
