Is the sleep number bed safe?

With no recorded claims by customers of property damage or injury against the product’s safety, the Sleep Number bed has an excellent safety history.On the Other: Safety Recall Addressed.The US Consumer Product Safety Commission lists a 2003 recall by Select Comfort of their adjustable beds manufactured in Minneapolis, Minn., and purchased from November 2002 through March 15, 2003. The safety concern was that cold temperatures and impact during shipping could cause a crack in the power cord insulation on the electric air pump. The crack could cause a shock or electrocution hazard.Bottom LineThe 2003 recall is the only safety hazard or recall filing concerning the Sleep Number bed, and Select Comfort immediately addressed the concern with repair or replacement.
