Is the Skin Deep Database a useful guide to Dr.Hauschka products?
Dr.Hauschka Skin Care respects the spirit in which the Environmental Working Group compiles its research with the intent of ensuring safe cosmetics. However, while their Skin Deep database (cosmeticdatabase.com) does raise some valid ingredient concerns, their ratings of Dr.Hauschka Skin Care products can be vague or misleading. The database fails to provide consumers with the information or insight needed to help them learn about our products and the intensive processes that go into their formulation and manufacture. Dr.Hauschka Skin Care products are formulated according to strict criteria, ensuring naturally-derived ingredients and sustainable processing methods, yet the Skin Deep database assigns many of our products negative ratings.
