Eliezer Yudkowsky and others affiliated with the Singularity Institute are not attempting to create, program, or even design a Sysop thats not how the Sysop Scenario works. In fact, the Singularity Institute is not yet even engaged in coding an artificial intelligence, but is rather focused for the moment on creating tools and theories that might be used for AI while formulating guidelines for implementing Friendliness.
