Is The Shepherds Rod An Inspired Message From God?
It is not my intention to declare the Rod as being fallacious in this analysis, however, we have been instructed to “prove all things” rather than taking them gullibly, and to “hold fast” only to “that which is good,” and that is simply my object here. If, in places, the Rod seems incorrect on this view (the Davidic Kingship of Christ), does this wholesale its message as error? God forbid! There is but one that is infallible, and that One is God! All the prophets had their flaws and theological misconceptions, not excluding V.T. Houteff. Think of Moses, he murdered an Egyptian in his effort of liberating Israel from bondage. Then when faced with the stubbornness of the people, he took the glory of God unto himself, thus smiting the rock twice. Now think of Samuel who did not lead his household after God’s commands, yet the Lord used him mightily. Think of David, the man after God’s own heart, you know his life story of treachery and adultery, yet he became the type of the Lord Jesus Ch
