Is the shape of the earth showing on media are real?
I don’t know what shape of the Earth is showing on media. The Earth is nearly spherical. The diameter of the Earth in the equatorial plane is 1/297 times bigger than the diameter from pole to pole, due to distortion from the spin of the Earth. This is called an Oblate Spheroid, with the 1/297 flattening at the poles. (this is about 13.5 miles at each pole) Around 1960, after the first artificial satellites were launched, it was found that the north pole is about 50 feet higher than the standard oblate spheriod, the south pole is about 50 feet lower, the southern hemisphere bulges out about 50 feet, while the northern hemisphere is lower. I’m sure much more precise shape data is available these days, but… that’s just further refinements. The answer is “not quite an exact sphere” because of the oblateness and the bulges I mentioned in the previous paragraph.
