No, however more votes help. Although selection is not based solely on votes, she needs A LOT of online votes to get the attention from Oprah’s selection staff. Amy was required to complete a lengthy application form, intended to give the Oprah’s staffs an idea of her personality. At least one of the five Finalists who receive the highest number of valid votes in the Competition will be declared a Program Participant. The exact Finalist who is selected as a Program Participant from the top five Video Submissions will be determined by Oprah’s staff. Oprah’s staff will choose the rest of the Finalists from the Casting Calls and the Video Submissions. The actual number of Finalists chosen from each source will be at Oprah’s staff’s sole discretion. More votes help Amy get the attention of the producers so please keep voting!!
