Is The Search for Mickey Mouse going to be a GMD sequel?
Absolutely not! The upcoming film, The Search of Mickey Mouse, is only going to be an animated film based on the Disney animated TV series, The House of Mouse. IT IS NOT A SEQUEL! Basil and Ratigan will be voiced again by Maurice LaMarche. As many Basilians noted, “If Basil ends up sounding like The Brain, I’ll kill him/myself/the film/Disney.” Strong words! The plot of The Search of Mickey Mouse is very simple. Mickey is “mouse-knapped” and Minnie hires the greatest detective alive, Basil of Baker Street, to help find Mickey. There’s a rumour where this film about Basil being too small compared to Minnie and Mickey, so what is planned? It’s rumoured that Basil will be “enlarged” by a machine, the one from Honey, I Shrunk the Kids perhaps? The film is currently “in production” and is to come direct-to-video in the year 2004. I have my doubts of this film’s quality and greatly fear that it will be as dissatisfying as the recent Mickey’s House of Villains, even if Ratigan did not appear.
