Is the SCA/ICA64 card compatible with the DCP486P?

0

A.: The ICA64 card is PCI-X compatible at 66MHz and, because it uses the universal PCI 64bit edge connector, it can physically fit in any PCI slot available including 32bit slots. When the card is placed in a 32bit slot is operates in 32bit mode (33MHz, 32bits). Physically the ICA64 uses a 64bit PCI card edge whereas the DCP486P uses a 32bit PCI card edge, but the overall physical dimensions of the cards are identical. 99.9% of the time the ICA64 is a direct physical and code compatible replacement for the DCP486P card. The only software differences are detailed in Software Programming Instructions available on the Support page after registration. Depending on how your software driver is written, there may or may not need to be software changes made to accept the ICA64 seamlessly.
