Is the Roman God Mars in any famous myths?
1) He either raped or had sex with Rhea Silvia, and by her fathered Romulus and Remus. (She was killed for this- he didn’t care.) 2) Otus and Ephialtes were two powerful giants, brothers, and wanted to show Olympus what was what. Therefore, they trapped Mars in a bronze jar for thirteen months until he was rescued by Hermes. 3) Helios, god of the sun, saw Aphrodite having sex with her favorite lover, Ares, and told her husband, Hephaistos. He wove a net out of metal and set it up on the bed so that it would catch them in the act. Afterwards, he called all the gods to see, but they just laughed. (Poor Hephaistos.) 4) In the Iliad, Athena wounds Ares because she liked the Greeks, and he just wanted to kill people. (Although he mostly fought for the Trojans.
