The Saudi Landbridge will link Jiddah to Riyadh and extend the existing railroad from Dammam to Jubail. The project is still under development and nobody has been awarded the concession. The Northern railroad from Raz Al Zour is being developed by SAR and is under construction. The accident was on the existing railroad East of Riyadh. The railroad was built under the Aramco concession in the early 1960’s. The cause of the accident was not published.
