Is the RFP 09-553 designed to serve K-12 settings?
The mission of the Informal Science Education program is to stimulate innovations in learning STEM in out of school settings. This doesn’t mean that informal learning can’t be organized in school buildings, such as, after-school or community programs. What we don’t fund is the development of, for example, 5th grade classroom earth science instructional materials.
