Is the Reiki flow affected by the health of the practitioner?

No. Though it is not advisable to perform ANY energetic or magickal working on another while feeling “under the weather”, a ill Reiki practitioner can still give treatments as strong and effective as a practitioner in good health. Giving yourself a Reiki treatment when you are sick will accelerate your healing process and raise the immune system.

Even a very sick, weak person who is correctly initiated to Reiki can give treatments that are just as strong and effective as a Reiki Practitioner who is in good health. The Reiki energy is not coming from the physical energy from the body of the practitioner.
