Is the Raiser’s Edge currently PA DSS compliant?
Version 7.85 of The Raiser’s Edge and earlier are not PA DSS compliant. Raiser’s Edge 7.86, designed to meet PA DSS standards, is currently being validated by Trustwave, a Qualified Security Assessor for compliancy. A beta version of this release will be rolled out in Q4 of this year with availability to all Raiser’s Edge users in the first half of 2009. When you migrate to The Raiser’s Edge 7.8, you will connect to the BBPS which will scan your Raiser’s Edge database for credit card numbers and upload them to the service. The BBPS will communicate to your credit card processor, validate your credit cards and return a unique token to your database that will serve as a reference for specific credit cards.
