Is the Queen the head of the Church of England?

Yes the queen is the head of the church of England. I’m sure she and the pope are capable of being wrong. It is preposterous that people are led like this, but still they are. It would be nice to think that common sense prevails, but unfortunately you just need to look around you to see that people are happy to be comfortable sheep. Actually I find that reading about this whole period in time is absolutely fascinating. It wasn’t just a matter of Henry VIII deciding he wanted to lead the church as well as the country. There were many conflicts between the church and the rulers of the country before that. Considering the events that led up to this and occurred afterwards cover a period of roughly 600 years it’s hard to try and summarise here, but if you ever want to try and understand why people put up with this read up a little on the history. Personally I don’t believe in any religion, but I do understand why many people like to feel they have that security.

Yes, she is. And it doesn’t mean she’s infallible. She is head of the Church of England because Henry VIII broke with the church of Romen and made himself head of the Church of England, and the title has passed to all subsequent English monarchs. Nowadays, royalty does not rule with an iron fist, we are a constitutional monarchy, in case you hadn’t noticed. And most of us have the sense to realise that we are better off with a monarchy than we would be with a tiresome and expensive elected president.

The Queen is titular head of the Church of England, but the running of the church is done by cardinals. And even the Pope is fallible;for those of you who don’t have the religious training that comes from attending Catholic schools from Kindergarten through Graduate School ,fallibility is about Church teachings based on Biblical teachings. When a Pope speaks of non-religious things a pope can be and often is wrong. No human being is perfect, everyone is a work in progress. Here is something for YOU to ponder;it is a quotation from Julian of Norwich and it helps one to find one’s ideal Self,a person who knows both light and dark parts of one’s psyche,is balanced and therefore less judgmental towards others: “For a man regards some deeds as well done, and some as evil, and our Lord does not regard them so, for everything which exists in nature is of God’s creation,so that everything which is done is the property of being God’s doing.” Answers is for legitimate questions about things; trying to

the queen is the supreme head of the church of england and the monarch has been so since the 1530’s when henry VIII broke away from rome and he did this in order to divorce is 1st wife catherine of aragon in order to marry anne boleyn and as for the queen o monarch ruling with an iron fist quite frankly with the utter Muppet’s we have running this country i think that the queen would do a much better job and this country would be great again

The Monarch is head of the Church of England, so yes the Queen is. She is not like the pope, which was one of the points of the church of England. And before I go any further stop, for a moment, with the hatred for royalty because your generalising, and we know that can be very much a naive thing to do. So because our Monarchy is nothing like the pope who from this I assume you also dislike there is no ‘trick’. Royalty has historically claimed its right to rule, not necessarily with an iron fist (again where does this have wait other than a few former Kings of England in the Medieval era whereby things must be put into context of the times they were living). By the way, for all you know they might have divine right… Okay I was mainly making fun of your first points because they are like half truths and you’ll probably read this and not take a blind bit of notice as all you actually want to do is ***** about how you hate the idea of monarchy and having anyone above self important you.
