The front-end system that resides at Palmetto will translate the data contained in these formats. The translator will extract all core data necessary from these formats and configure the data for processing in RAPS. Format mappings are posted on the www.mcoservice.com website. • When is testing of the new system available? At the latest, M+C organizations can test submission to Palmetto’s front-end system and RAPS on October 1, 2002. CMS testing of RAPS is planned for August 2002. If RAPS is sufficiently tested by CMS before October 1, 2002, then CMS will inform M+C organizations that end-to-end system testing is available. • Will the mapping for the ANSI 837 be made available?
