Is the propeller a RC airplane propeller?
It’s based on an APC 8 x 13 model airplane propeller modified to withstand high-stress in the hub. It’s designed to operate at up to 14,000 rpm and in airplanes where it routinely sustains ground contact and flies again. In our motor it rotates 600 rpm. In our testing we’ve never broken a propeller in impact or use-testing. However, it can wear against sand, shells and rocks. A worn propeller will change color from dark to light grey and should be replaced, as efficiency will be reduced otherwise.
