Is the PROcede a chip?
Not quite. It’s a separate computer box about 1/4 the size of the factory ECU. It sits just next to the factory ECU in an empty “shelf”. Very convenient Q: If the dealer reprograms my ECU, will the PROcede still function the same? A: Yes, the ECU can be reprogrammed independently of the PROcede. The two are fully discrete from each other. Likewise, you program the PROcede without programming the ECU. Q: What’s involved with installing the PROcede? A: The PROcede requires no cutting, splicing, or soldering of any of the factory components and wires.
