Is the price of the raffle ticket tax deductable?
The IRS’s position on this subject matter is that the amounts paid for chances in raffles, lotteries, or similar drawings for valuable prizes are not gifts. Therefore they do not qualify as a deductible charitable contribution. However, all member and vision partners that donate at least $150.00 during a valid raffle period, to Uriyah will automatically receive a ticket and be entered into the drawing.
