And if there was no health care, other causes of death would be far, far higher. Modern medicine saves many times more lives than are lost through errors. Most of those that do die of errors were almost certainly in serious condition and would have died without medical help. Since they didn’t control for either of these factors, the study is easily abused by quacks. We’ve actually tried using only alternative medicine. That was in the past before modern medicine and it wasn’t pretty.
