Is the Pope the Anti-Christ?
There have been times, such as the Reformation of the 16th century in Europe, when the Roman Catholic Church persecuted and killed many non-Catholic Christians. This is evil and shameful, and the Catholic Church has admitted its errors in using violence against those who disagreed with it. At those times, however, it seemed entirely logical to say that the Pope was the anti-Christ of Revelation.
