IS the Pope guilty of muddled thinking?
The pope is guilty of wishful thinking. He thinks that by condemning homosexual behavior it’ll disappear from his church. The Catholic all-male, all single priesthood has traditionally been a magnet for homosexuals. The much more serious problem with the priesthood is their record of child abuse. Thousands of cases of child molestation and rape committed by Catholic priests have been settled for hundreds of millions of dollars….and that’s in the U.S. alone. Look it up if you don’t believe it. The pope is right to speak against child abuse but he needs to clean his own house. I’ll agree that for any representative of the Catholic church to wag his finger at the secular world is pretty muddled thinking.
