Is the Philippines like the Iberian Peninsula of United States?
The Philippines is nothing like the Iberian Peninsula which is in reality located in Europe. The Philippines is geographically speaking, an archipelago. The analogy you are trying to make does not make sense in any way. General Douglas MacArthur was not the best general of the United States but he did have some good ideas like nuking Manchuria during the Korean War. As far as the next leaders of the United States having shrewd calculating filipinos; well there are no popular leaders of filipino origin as things stand right now and it doesn’t look like it will be that way in the future either. Right now it looks like there may be a shrewd calculating Mexican leading the United States in the years to come but definitely not filipino. I believe that the love affair between the United States and the Philippines is just about over and in its’ final stages.
