Is the Philippines a newly-industrialized country or a poor 3rd-world country?
Unfortunately, The Philippines is still a poor 3rd world country. It’s a pity, because The Philippines is blessed with abundant natural resources, an educated population and industrious people. The problem is and always has been: “Institutionalized Corruption”. Corruption is rampant in The Philippines and has kept it in the 3rd world class.
