No. Sorry to confuse you! There are two awards in Australian speculative fiction that bear Peter McNamara’s name. The Peter McNamara Achievement Award is an annual award given to a professional in the Australian SF field in remembrance of the life and contribution of Peter McNamara (d. 2004), publisher, editor and the original Aurealis Awards convenor . It is presented each year at the Australian National SF Convention.
