Ministry of Education recognizes the Chinese language degree from Beida. I believe other companies or government agencies will recognize other degrees as Beida is a premier institution.

Short answer: yes. Local companies and some multinationals will appreciate holders of Peking University degrees, but it also depends on what’s your major. However some multinationals might still prefer American, European or even Singaporean degrees, and to be honest I doubt the pay for Peking grads is higher than that for the locals or Western-educated. Be sure to shop around for the best offer before coming to work here.
